This piece of writing might create a little friction to some of the photographers out there specially to those who do not know how to distinguish what is the difference between the word arrogance and self confidence. By the way, the photos / pictures used are for illustration only and they are not the group of people or individuals that I am referring to in this article . 😂😁😆😊
I know for a fact that there are photographers who sing their praises at every social gathering online. This group of photographers makes me wonder if they know something about self confidence that I don’t. Their behaviours online made me think that they might have discovered a secret that made them feel equip and ready to conquer the world. 😂 😎😆😛
These self proclaimed professional photographers criticised a specific photography genre and they’re acting as if they are the best in their field. They believe that portraiture, landscape, nature and wildlife photography are the only acceptable genre. They consider mobile photography as mediocre and the most ridiculous of all is that they thought street photography is not an art. 😆😈
Of course I understand that tastes differ and perhaps to few, art is subjective. But instead of giving harsh comments about other peoples work, why not encourage the learners to practise often, help them learn how to take better pictures and keep their opinion to themselves.
After all, photography is not about making nice photographs that anybody can do, but photography for me is like music. Set the right song and we can all sing to the same tune. 😛😊
Before you send your assassins to run after me and hunt me down, I just want you all to know that this rant is rather directed at those who are silly enough to think that those amateurs who are willing to learn the art of photography but, could not afford to buy a decent camera are not welcome to join a photography group on the internet and most specially to those who are self proclaimed masters of the art in the whole wide universe. Please….get a life. 😈😈😈😈😈
